5. Research interest: Applied, Agricultural, and medical entomology
My research interests will likely align with real-world applications of insect biology, ecology, and management. Such as
- Development of sustainable and eco-friendly pest control strategies.
- Interaction ofinsects with microbial pathogens and what that means for vector control.Mechanisms of disease transmission (e.g., malaria, dengue, Zika)
- Study of insecticide mode of action, resistance mechanisms, and alternative control agents
- Impact of climate change on insect populations, behavior, and distribution.
- Taxonomy and biodiversity studies with applications in conservation and pest identification.
- Protecting and enhancing pollinator populations for agriculture and biodiversity,
- And other related issues
