- List of Projects implemented:
- Enhancing STEM Education and Academic Excellence: Co-Principal Investigator for an ongoing DMU CSD-funded project (since 2017 E.C) aimed at enhancing academic excellence in selected primary and secondary schools in Debre Markos City through the integration of STEM education and SIP strategies.
- Lowland Bamboo Plantation Project: Leading an ongoing project along the Abay (Blue Nile) Gorge in Dejen District, Ethiopia, since 2015 E.C. This initiative, funded by the Norwegian government through the Ethiopia Forest Development, focuses on establishing a lowland bamboo plantation.
- Analyzing Political Violence in Ethiopia: Co-Principal Investigator for an ongoing project (since 2016 E.C) funded by the DMU Choke Mountain Basin Research And Development Project Directorate. This research develops scenarios related to Ethiopia’s recurring political violence since 2012 and its repercussions.
- Innovating Science Education: Contributed as a Project Member to a DMU CSD-funded initiative (completed since 2015 E.C) focused on innovating primary and secondary school science laboratory education in East Gojjam Zone, Ethiopia.
- Practical Science Training Project: Principal Investigator for a completed project (since 2010 E.C) funded by Jimma University RCS V/P Office, which provided training on practical activities for basic science subjects in Jimma Town Secondary Schools.
I successfully advised four MSc students from Jimma University. Additionally, I mentored over ten MSc students at Debre Markos University on their research endeavors.
